Description

Celebrate the life, music, and spirit of Key West’s favorite son with a joyful, tropical tribute filled with music, creativity, and community 🌴🎶 Led by Will Kimbrough & Howard Livingston—along with a few surprise friends—this lively procession brings the island together in one unforgettable moment.

The Second Line steps off promptly at 5:00 PM from the lower 100 block of Duval Street, winding five blocks down Duval, turning onto Southard Street, and continuing to Truman Waterfront Park for a casual waterfront celebration. Expect live music, group singalongs, and plenty of island-style fun along the way.

🎺 Join the Procession:

Walk with us in your brightest tropical attire—bring a colorful umbrella, decorate your bike, or carry a handmade sign. Group themes and costumes are encouraged, so get creative and be part of the show.

🎶 Play Along:

Musicians are welcome to join in and add to the energy of the procession.

👏 Watch & Cheer:

Line Duval or Southard Street and be part of the celebration from the sidelines.

📺 Join Virtually:

Host a backyard or bar watch party and tune into the livestream from wherever you are.

🎟 Souvenir Charity Event Badge:

Support the spirit of the Second Line with a $35 badge—100% of proceeds benefit Reef Relief, the Bahama Village Music Program, and scholarships for local students.

♻️ Cleanest Parade in Key West:

We’re proud to carry that title. Reef Relief will be on hand with rolling cleanup crews—please help us keep the island beautiful by disposing of trash and recyclables properly.

🚲 Getting Around:

Walking, biking, and rideshare are highly recommended. Parking is limited near both the start and end points. Bikes are welcome in the procession and can be locked at the park afterward.

💧 Stay Hydrated:

Bring a reusable water bottle—free refill stations will be available at Truman Waterfront Park thanks to the Florida Keys Aqueduct Authority.

🎷 What is a Second Line?

Rooted in New Orleans and Caribbean traditions, a Second Line is a walking musical celebration where the community follows the band in joyful tribute. In Key West, it’s our way of honoring with music, laughter, tropical flair—and a few salty tears.

✨ Free and open to the public
