We can't wait to meet you!
We’re in the final countdown, and we look forward to welcoming you to Key West. Just a Few Friends isn’t simply an event you attend. It’s an experience that could only happen here—where the story began and where so many of the places, people and personal connections remain.
You’ll walk into the Chart Room, gather outside Shrimp Boat Sound, fill Duval Street with music, sail the same waters and hear stories from people who were actually there. That connection to place is what makes this weekend different. You aren’t just hearing about the history—you’re stepping inside it.
What began as a heartfelt gathering of friends has grown into a six-day, island-wide celebration. This year, we’re welcoming back some of our favorite all-stars while raising the bar again with Mac McAnally headlining Sunday’s Party in the Park following our signatory Second Line Memorial Procession.
And on Friday— Gary Roland & the Landsharks—the band that backed Jimmy during the legendary 1998 Meeting of the Minds street concert—return to Duval Street to help us re-create that historic night almost three decades later. Wow. Who would have thought?

On Wednesday:
Our HQ at the back bar of Key West First Legal Rum, 105 Simonton, will be open from 11 am to 5 pm and throughout the weekend. Enjoy a refreshing frozen drink, purchase your souvenir event badge for charity, and get answers to event-related questions.
The QR code on the back of your badge will activate, providing important updates and messages.
Look out for a final email to hit your inbox with last-minute information.

At this time, no tropical storm activity is forecast to affect Key West; guests should plan for hot, humid weather with occasional showers or thunderstorms. Please take necessary precautions: apply sunscreen, wear light and protective clothing, and stay well-hydrated. Bring a reusable water bottle and keep it filled!
In partnership with Reef Relief, we are committed to being environmental stewards protecting our fragile ecosystem in the Keys. We encourage you to join us in this effort. Help us keep the celebration clean and sustainable by doing your part while enjoying the festivities.
We’re ready to meet our new Friends, welcome back those who have been with us before and share an experience that exists nowhere else but Key West.
